Watch Strap Fitting Instructions:
It is easy to remove your old strap using a small sharp penknife. Hold your watch flat and press the tip of the blade firmly between the lug and the strap then twist the blade inwards while pressing down to release and remove the spring bar. Your new Mondaine strap will come with replacement spring bars. With the spring bar fitted through the strap end, place one end of the bar into the lug recess and use your penknife to tuck the other end inside. Pull the strap firmly to ensure both ends of the spring bar have located correctly. Mondaine suggest a life expectancy of 6 - 12 months for leather straps depending on use.
