Valuations
We are able to offer a comprehensive valuation service carried out on the premises in Woodbridge.
Whether you are just after some help sorting through a jewellery box as to what is of value and what is not, or we can value items both for the purpose of insurance or probate. It is important practice to keep your jewellery correctly valued, in order to obtain the correct replacement value should the item be lost or damaged.
What is the Process?
Your jewellery will be professionally photographed and then assessed for its current market replacement value. Whilst this is being done we will make a note of any repairs that may need to be carried out. Once your jewellery has been returned to you, you will receive the following:
- An original copy of your valuation certificate including photographs.
- A second copy of your certificate, for you to forward to your insurance company.
- If any repairs are required, we will discuss this when you come into store to collect your jewellery.
It is important that your jewellery is correctly maintained, as any loss that can be attributed to poor maintenance on your part will invalidate your claim.
Insurance Claims
If you find yourselves in the unfortunate position of having items lost or stolen of which you do not have itemized on a current Insurance Valuation, we are able to assist with a Post Loss Valuation for Replacement.
Simply come in to store, describe to us the items and we will provide you with a letter for your Insurance Company to state the current like for like replacement value. This service is free of charge.
